Security and Safety Reminder

It's important that everyone help maintain a safe and secure neighborhood.  While the POA is working to install security cameras in select locations, it is important that every individual maintain security and safety on their property as well.  Some things to consider:
  • Secure your property, including sheds and outbuildings. Pay special attention to windows and doors that face away from the road.
  • Store tools, ladders, shovels and other items that could be used to tamper with your security measures or ease access to your structures.
  • Keep your neighbors posted regarding your plans to be away from home.  They can often be a great first line of defense in spotting something out of the ordinary.
  • Record license plates and/or take notes of any suspicious or unusual vehicle activity you see.
  • Consider adding a mix of technology items such as motion sensing lights, motion activated cameras or a security system.  While no single security measure will protect you from every type of threat, a mixture helps improve the overall results.
